NPO has recently entered into a contract with Preferred Choices PPO. NPO will be sending Addendums to all member Administrators and Office Managers to obtain signatures of all physicians who wish to participate with this program.

What is Preferred Choices PPO?
Preferred Choices offers PPO options that provide access to over 11,000 physicians, 83 hospitals and many other health care providers located throughout Michigan. Preferred Choices is a subsidiary of Michigan-based Trinity Health, one of the nation’s leading health care systems, with 13 hospitals located in Michigan.

Just like you, we provide responsible management of health care resources and contain costs while providing high-quality care to improve the health status of local communities throughout Michigan. What makes us different?
At Preferred Choices PPO, we build our network by directly contracting with our physicians. We are on the leading edge of front-end claims capabilities with re-pricing alternatives via electronic or paper. We offer 24-hour turnaround for EDI transmitted claims and 48 hours for paper claims and require our payors and TPA’s to pay the provider submitting the original clean claim within 45 days.

Our physicians have access to our Internet Self-Service (ISS). Through this web-based program, providers are able to:

• Obtain pre-priced amount on claims
• Obtain phone numbers to TPA’s for benefit, eligibility, precertification and claims status information
• Search for providers in the network and print driving instructions to office locations
• View practice information, such as board certification status Update personal practice information
